Harman Products, Inc. was established in 1951 as a screw-machine
jobbing shop, specializing in custom machined components to customer
specifications in any quantity.
Materials include all commonly used carbon and alloy steels,
brass, aluminum and plastics.
The customer base consisted of other machine shops, sheet
metal fabricators, manufacturers of tractors, machine tools, snow
blowers, water softeners, outboard motors, etc., primarily in the
Southeast Wisconsin area.
In
June of 1971 Harman Products purchased the Pin & Bushing department
of Sterling National Industries (a manufacturer of foundry flask and
pattern equipment) and the “Sterling” division of Harman Products, Inc. was
established. The new division manufactures and ships pins, bushings,
pallet car wheels and chills to foundries and pattern shops across
the United States, as well as into Mexico and Canada.
The pins and bushings are available for molding and core
machines, snap flasks, tight flasks and patterns.
